“ Stopped in on a whim based upon the other reviews. They are all spot on. Reasonable prices, and some of the best scratch made food I've ever had. Everything we had was excellent. They have a diverse menu that can accommodate almost any dietary need too. They've actually got real vegetarian options if that's your jam. Try the Parmesan garlic cheese curds. Insanely good. The fries here are world class. Mad props to the chef. Fries are easy to make good, but really hard to go beyond excellent. These are some of the best I've ever had. Do not miss out. ”
“ My husband and I went after the reopen. The food is amazing. And the fries are homemade, so they taste just like Berardis Fries. The food is little pricey but the quality of food is excellent. So no complaints from me. And if I want homemade fries. I will be going to the freight house for them. The staff is very friendly and professional at the same time. It is a perfect place to unwind and have amazing meal. 100% recommend The Freight House. ”
“ Talk about “delicious”!!!! Absolutely loved both of the menu items we decided to try. The Patty Melt that I tried was full of flavor and fulfilling especially with the AWESOME hand cut fries!!!. The Spicy Chicken sandwich that my Wife had was "off the chain" as these youngsters say. The customer service honestly was great. As a restaurant that opened less than a week ago you can tell that the servers are still trying their very best to please the customers. We were seated as soon as a table was available. I for one love all the sports memorabilia on the walls. Folks, if you are looking for a stuffy restaurant that serves you Filet Mignon with a server that hovers over you while you eat a 7 course meal, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a place with the best Gouda Bites and a great burger! You have to give this place a try! You won't be disappointed! ”
“ Traveled up to buy a car from Columbus. Stopped at buckeye and was unhappy with the wait time so we came here. Couldn’t have been happier with the service, food, or atmosphere. Sat down and were almost immediately asked if we wanted food menus. As soon as menus were provided we were asked for our drink orders. Cold fresh beer. While we were waiting on our food a guy came out of the kitchen carrying pizzas. Come to find out, they don’t serve pizza yet. However, we were the first to try it, and I’m here to tell you it’s excellent. Thinner crust, but not too thin. Just thin enough to not be bready. Sweet sauce with prevalent basil. Obviously fresh cheese. Perfectly flavored pepperoni. We’ll be back just for pizza’s! Our food only took minutes to hit the bar, and by the time it did we were already full. It didn’t stop me from devouring my Rueben and most of my sweet potato waffle fries. We met the previous owner who is helping the new owners transition the business, and both parties seem equally invested in the livelihood and quality of the business. I’ll certainly return again even if solo just for the atmosphere. The entire place was well decorated and such a unique building that a guy could spend a whole day there just observing all the little things. Could not recommend more! ”
“ We ordered appetizers, cheese curds... omg, very yummy! The cheesesteak was so spot on! The perch was perfection! Our waiter, Logan, was attentive, friendly, respectful, and very knowledgeable! We will definitely be back!! I would recommend this place to everyone! ”
“ The Freight House is a very old railroad building. When the ticket office and train station burned, the freight house was used for passengers buying tickets. In the 1970's it was turned into a restaurant. Much of the old interior was kept, including the wood ceiling. Food is excellent. Wings are big, white mac and cheese was thick and good. The jalapenos on the burger had a kick to them and the Cole slaw was different, but delicious. ”
“ Absolutely worth visiting, under new ownership, this place is becoming our weekly goto. Great service, great food. May take a little longer to get food, but it is fresh. Last time we went I had probably the best burger I have ever had at a restaurant. To ight had beer battered cod. And you can tell it was fresh, even was able to taste the beer in the batter. Absolutely fabulou ”
“ Just had dinner with 7 people at Freight House Tavern tonight honestly we were nervous about going on a Friday night with a larger crowd, but they were able to get us right in and we had our food surprisingly fast, even with what appeared to be a packed house. The food was great our waiter was very prompt and polite. Overall great experience glad they brought back this restaurant great addition to Norwalk! ”
